Video Mapping Workshop

This workshop is intended for those who want to learn the technique of video projection mapped with particular attention to the world of  video scenography.

The goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the opportunities offered by the creative use of videoprojection both in architectural videomapping and as part of storytelling and theater.

The class is open to beginners as well as professionals, is aimed at an audience not necessarily specialized. Is necessary to bring a PC or Mac.

During the workshop will be tested various projection techniques. A workshop with a purely practical approach, where the technical knowledge are constantly accompanied with exercises and experiments on objects and architectural models. Particular attention will be paid to the choice of poetic language and the construction of a basic narrative.

Workshop duration: 3 days, 21 hours theoretical / practical on equipment and software used in the techniques of videomapping.

EQUIPMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:.

Is requested to download demo versions of the programs that are fully functional and usable, you also need to be equipped with your own laptop computers Mac / Windows. It is advisable to have appropriate working tools already in place and installed to speed up the setup. It is also advised participants to bring video projectors and midi controllers they eventually own.

Tools used: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Millumin, Resolume Avenue (MAC / PC)

Hardware Platform: PC or MAC

Requirements for participants: is preferable but not necessary a basic knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Resolume Avenue (MAC / PC)

STRUCTURE OF THE WORKSHOP:

Will address the fundamental processes to make the sets and locations presented by the visual technique videomapping, starting from how the idea visually, searching for a poetic, feel and art style.
